In all bands staff receive a starting salary. Then, in all bands except bands 1 and 2, they receive increments after a number of years of service.
Agenda for Change Band 3 salary in England
Staff working in band 3 receive a basic pay of £22,816. Then, after two years service (so, at the start of their third year of employment) they receive an increment payment which brings their annual pay up to £24,336. This is the highest rate of pay in Band 3. The table below shows the salary you should expect to receive for each year of service you have in Band 3.

NHS HCAS / London Weighting Band 3

Staff working in Inner London in band 3 receive a basic pay of £27,948. Then, after two years service (so, at the start of their third year of employment) they receive an increment payment which brings their annual pay up to £29,468. This is the highest rate of pay in Band 3.
